Signs and Wonders

Dear Readers,
i am leaving Koh lanta tomorrow, but before that i will give you another insight in this idyll ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the “Jah Bar”, behind the counter is Chan, the owner.
He is grumpy because i did not seem happy ๐Ÿ˜€
Yeah he is a good guy.
The bar is really cool and i can just recommend everybody to go there and drink a nice lassi.
The “Jah Bar” is at the Andaman BayIMG_1658 IMG_1659 IMG_1660 Beautiful, isn’t it?
Note: Koh Lanta, Jah Bar!

Unusual signs? Not in Thailand, hail to the king!….IMG_1662“Jiraporn, Trade the Wood” …no..i..am not…laughing.. ๐Ÿ˜€IMG_1657This happens when you have a bad handwriting and the sign maker can’t read it properly
(top sign correct, lower sign…well)IMG_1664 The french guy and me went to the jungle to see the Klong Jaak waterfall.
The hike is amazing, the waterfall…well you’ll see later. IMG_1668 IMG_1669 IMG_1670 A lot of wild crittersIMG_1674 A tree washes its hair in the riverIMG_1675 IMG_1677A natural bathtub IMG_1678A banyan tree IMG_1679And this is not a pipe, but a root of exactly this tree, that somehow found its way through the stone IMG_1680Just like these IMG_1682 IMG_1683 IMG_1684The Xylophone Stalactites, they make really nice sounds! IMG_1685The….waterfall? more of a dribble ๐Ÿ˜€ IMG_1686 IMG_1688 IMG_1689 IMG_1690 Laurent and the giant treeIMG_1697 IMG_1698 IMG_1700These elephants are indian elephants, they have been used for working for a long time, now they don’t carry wood and logs anymore but tourists IMG_1703And this felt amazing! IMG_1705Gumtrees are our future, so i believe! IMG_1708On our way to and from the Waterfall we saw 50% Thai and 50% tourists on bikes.
This shocked me, but i am a tourist as well, and Koph lanta is really beautiful!
I really had a nice couple of days here, i enjoyed snorkeling, saw lot and lots of colorful fish, got a sunburn and massages.
Come here!
Or maybe don’t come then the island will stay quiet a few more years ๐Ÿ˜‰

Koh Lanta and between

After Krabi (Ao Nang) i went straight to Koh Lanta.
The ferry made some stops on the way to take some people aboard, but i still slept pretty well ๐Ÿ˜€
Arriving inย  Koh Lanta, i obviously did not know where to go, but Chan was there, a small Thai guy and owner of a reggae bar.
He offered me a free ride to a bungalow resort, and when i shared some music with him he offerd m a free place to stay. (thank you Motte for all the reggae music ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

The Beach is way better than the one in Ao Nang which was crowded, here it is way more relaxed, a few reggae parties but not the full on hardcore stuff that Thailand is known for.

Pictures:IMG_1573Me and Jim, in his place…see previous entry ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_1602 IMG_1600 IMG_1599 IMG_1593 IMG_1592 Pictures of the ferry from Ao Nang to Koh lantaIMG_1586 IMG_1585 IMG_1583 IMG_1582Tourism in Thailand? BIGTIME! that is one of 20 massage parlours on Ao Nang beach, the massage was really good, but every saloon has 20 beds, it is just so massive!

But then i arrived in the Andaman Bay!

IMG_1651 IMG_1650Kirsten, Monique and me (2 south african girls i met in Penang already) IMG_1647 The water is so extremely clear!IMG_1645 IMG_1640 IMG_1638 IMG_1637 Relaxing is important!IMG_1634 More south African people IMG_1624 IMG_1623 IMG_1619 You can print you postcards yourself this time ๐Ÿ˜›IMG_1617 IMG_1612 IMG_1611 IMG_1608 ย ย  I am enjoying this!
I decided to take a week off and just relax and let go.
Tomorrow is birthday time, jammin on the beach!

So long
the tanned relaxed and massaged
